Harlem Street Tree Care: MLK Day of Service

  • Fred Samuel Playground New York, NY, 10030 United States (map)

Honor MLK’s legacy and join NYC Parks Stewardship in an impactful initiative to nurture our local street trees! Become a part of this hands-on volunteering opportunity, where you'll gain essential skills in aerating, cultivating, mulching, and identifying street trees, all while discovering the pivotal roles these trees play in New York City's ecosystem. Dress comfortably in attire that can get dirty, and wear closed-toe shoes to ensure safety during the activity. Face masks are optional and can be worn at your discretion. Please note that space is limited, and registration is mandatory. A chaperone must accompany volunteers under 18 years old to participate. This event, supported in part by NYC Service, offers a chance to actively contribute to the preservation and well-being of our local greenery.
